Rose longs to be an explorer, a pioneer, a trailblazer. She wants to find an amazing treasure to share for Show & Tell at school, so she sets out on a journey of discovery. She travels far and wide – by scooter, by boat, by rocket, by balloon, and by train – creating maps to record her journey. Will she find something remarkable and exciting enough to share with her friends?

I love the maps filled with quirky details that Rose creates as she travels. Her approach to her adventure demonstrates a wonderful sense of the world being filled with potential for exciting discoveries and experiences. As a writer, I appreciated the way the story unfolds to reveal that the tale of Rose’s adventures is the treasure she is able to share with her class.

This lovely story will inspire children to chart their own adventures and create imaginative tales of exploration and discovery.
